Dasht-e Kavir 
In the savage sands of the Persian desert
Every grain buried in
           the shards of time
By the rats — inhabitants of the abyss
     Above the well of eternity
          Beneath the sands
                  forgotten bliss

Blinding the shaman
        the blizzard of Hazar
Broken
            They took
                              They left
In the sand
                   The desert land
                        Of time and death
                           Pain and regret
