Electronic Moon 3
It fluoresces on the TV Screen
A Contour —strange Shapes
Emerging and then decomposing
I relinquish my Vigilance
And begin to perceive
Hearkening and conceptualizing
It befogs deviant Phases
Knitting Quills and Mist
As the Clatter carries on
I exhale an exhausted Wheeze
Soaring across
An infinite Airspace
A Face is revealed
Reawakening this cosmic Reverie
A Mirroring of me —
It fluoresces on the TV ScreenAbout the inspiration for this poem
This poem was inspired by the single-channel video Electronic Moon 2 by Nam June Paik and Jud Yalkut.
The video film was made between 1966-1972. In the video black and white images of the moon are shown reflected on water. Electromagnetic charges are also featured, they create an effect that mirrors and compliments the rhytmic motion of water.
This work, similar to much of South-Korean artist Nam June Paik’s other pieces, blurs the line between nature and technology.
Paik's vision was to use technology to gain a deeper understanding of humanity —truly ahead of his time!
The video is accompanied by the Piano-piece ''Clair de Lune'' by Claude Debussy.
Electronic Moon 2 is an innovative and unique piece of Video-art that I reccomend you all go and see.

Woah! What a cool concept! Moon 3 😁 what a nice way to continue this project.
I love these analog alterations like this and the poem pairs very well while moving it forward!
