Spring Light

setting sun

on young beech—

shivering leaves.

green grass

and yellow crops—

sunday sunrise.

*

carried by the wind

going nowhere —

folioles swaying.

*

dawn delayed—

the lingering sun

of yesterday.

*

whispers reach

remote trees

in abandoned fields.

*

birds flying

into the summer

of endless nights.
